Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground.
Place your hands behind your head with your elbows pointing outwards.
Engaging your abs, lift your head and shoulders just a quarter of the way up off the ground, roughly a 15 to 20 degree curl, without lifting your mid or lower back.
Pause for a moment at the top of this small range, then slowly lower back down to the starting position.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
